About Verralls

Verralls Shopfront

Brian Verrall bought his first vintage motorcycle in the late 40's. During the 50's he acquired a varied collection of veteran and vintage machines. It was in the 60's that he acquired the south London showroom of 'Youngs of Tooting' and transformed it into the first and possibly only regular showroom devoted solely to veteran, vintage and classic motorcycles which over the years became world renowned. In 1991 he moved to Handcross in West Sussex, England, where he transformed a range of eighteenth century buildings into the present showrooms and workshops.

In October 2004 Brian announced that he was handing over the baton to Ian Hatton, his workshop manager of over 20 years. Retirement being an almost alien concept to Brian, he continues his association with the company from, as he puts it, the "pillion seat". The team remains a small one, Ian is backed-up by Gordon Button, and continues to offer the same quality of service with which the name Verralls  has become synonymous.
